Wall Of Sound
On display inside the Dead Forever Experience will be a 1:4 scale functioning recreation of the infamous Wall of Sound: The massive and revolutionary sound system with stacked speakers was originally designed by audio engineer Owsley Stanley specifically for the Grateful Dead’s concerts in 1974. This 500-speaker, 7,000-watt multichannel wall was built by Anthony Coscia of “Le Petit Mur De Son.” Fans can enter a sweepstakes to win the Wall of Sound and proceeds will benefit Hope for the City and MusiCares.
Guitar Displays
On display at the entrance of the Dead Forever Experience are the Deluxe Bobby Weir 3 and the John Mayer’s PRS “Dead Spec” Silver Sky.
Stage-tested with Dead & Company for years and designed to offer the perfect balance of airy warmth and Weir's long-sought “clang of cold steel”, the Bobby Weir 3 is an undeniable tonal powerhouse.
A significantly modded PRS Silver Sky that pays homage to Jerry Garcia’s iconic “Alligator” guitar tones, only 1,000 “Dead Spec” Silver Sky Limited Edition instruments will be sold worldwide.

David Lemieux Tape Collection
In the days before CDs, digital file sharing, streaming, and downloading, Dead Heads collected their Grateful Dead music on cassette tapes, trading live concerts with one another through the mail.
This cassette collection is a portion of Grateful Dead archivist and legacy manager David Lemieux's personal tape archive, which he acquired through tape trades with other Dead Heads from 1985-1993. In addition to the 600+ tapes you see here are two cassette decks used to make copies of tapes for trades, a Tascam and a Nakamichi.
David was also a live concert taper at Grateful Dead shows 1989-1993, and his original Sony D-5 cassette recorder will be on display . He recorded dozens of live Grateful Dead shows during those years, using these Shure SM-94 microphones 1989-1990, later switching to Nakamichi 300 microphones.
